Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy

This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy ensures that we comply with Canadian laws and regulations, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and guidelines from the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).

Our primary objectives are to prevent the misuse of Weiss Casino for money laundering and terrorism financing, ensure compliance with Canadian AML obligations, protect the integrity of our financial systems, and detect and report suspicious activities in a timely manner.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Procedures

To prevent money laundering and ensure regulatory compliance, Weiss Casino conducts comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) checks for all players. Players must provide valid government-issued identification and other supporting documents to verify their identity, address, and payment method ownership. In cases where additional risk is identified, enhanced due diligence (EDD) measures will be applied. Read more about our KYC Policy.

Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

Weiss Bet conducts Customer Due Diligence (CDD) to assess the risk profile of each player before allowing access to gaming and financial transactions on the platform. Players will be classified as low-risk, medium-risk, or high-risk based on factors such as transaction history, country of origin, and other relevant considerations. Enhanced due diligence procedures will be applied for medium and high-risk players.

Monitoring and Reporting Suspicious Activities

Weiss Casino actively monitors player transactions and behavior to detect suspicious or unusual activity. This includes monitoring large or rapid deposits and withdrawals, irregular betting patterns, and the use of multiple accounts or unconventional payment methods. If suspicious activity is detected, an internal investigation will be initiated, and if warranted, a Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) will be filed with FINTRAC. Affected accounts may be restricted or suspended during this process.

Record Keeping

Weiss Bet Casino will retain all relevant records for a minimum period of five (5) years. This includes customer identification documents, transaction logs, and any communications related to suspicious activities or investigations. These records will be stored securely and will be made available to regulatory authorities, including FINTRAC, if required by law.

Employee Training

All employees of Weiss Casino who are involved in customer interactions or financial operations are required to undergo regular training on anti-money laundering policies, identification of suspicious activity, and internal reporting procedures. Training will ensure that all relevant staff understand their obligations under Canadian AML laws and regulations and are equipped to comply with the company's policy.

Cooperation with Authorities

Weiss Casino fully cooperates with Canadian authorities, including FINTRAC and law enforcement agencies, in investigating and reporting money laundering or terrorist financing activities. The company will respond promptly to any lawful request for information or assistance related to the investigation of suspected illegal activity.
